Beach Sleep Seasonal |
At 85 feet in length, Matador is the largest International Offshore Racing Maxi ever built. Matador was designed, developed and constructed at a cost of over US $20 million in 1991. The yacht is constructed from carbon fibre, titanium and aluminium. This sailing vessel is SERIOUSLY FAST ! |
Matador competed in 52 races, 8 regattas and 2 Maxi world championships and was UNDEFEATED !
Now retired, she spends her days cruising the beautiful Whitsundays, however, we warn you....there is still plenty of kick in the 'Bull'. Come and join us for 2 days and 2 nights and don't forget to HANG ON ! |
Another great option on board the Mighty Maxi Matador is that they have just started the "Beach Sleep" option. This is for those who would like the peace and quite of lying under the stars away for the boat at some of the Whitsunday Islands best camping locations - Whitehaven Beach or perhaps even Maureen’s Cove. You will still spend the day on the boat sailing from one beautiful destination to another in the Great Barrier Reef Marina Park, taking in all the best sites like Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet and all the popular activities like Sailing, Scuba Diving, and Snorkeling, then in the afternoon the crew set your camp site up on the beach for you, your dinner is still done on the boat and after, you may spend the night watching the star and listening to the water wash up the beach through the night. This is a great option for the nature lovers and a nice romantic option for couples.
Don't forget that The Matador offers on board diving as well, If you would like to take part you can decide and pay on baord @ $60 per dive. Snorkeling is all ways available and included in the price, the crew are always happy to tell you about the different fish, coral and abundant marine life.
