Description:
The 72' Beach Boat "SV Whitehaven" will take take you on a voyage of discovery around the beautiful Whitsunday Islands. The thrill of making way under sail is an experience that will stay with you always. Huge open decks, shaded rear deck area, rich mahogany interior and classic clipper bow make SV Whitehaven the ideal vessel for an island safari.
 
Camping
Exclusive beach front camp sites, with comfortable, quality equipment, set up by our Queensland Parks accredited guides, are yours to enjoy. Either be involved in the activities available or laze on the beach enjoying a glorious tropical island sunset.

Safari
Experienced guides will provide guests with activities such as

Bushwalking
Explore the rainforests whist being informed about native wildlife and history
Snokelling
Exploration of this maritime wonderland is a must and you will be able to swim and snorkel the fringing reefs of the islands
Aboriginal Culture
Our guides will give you insight into the traditional island inhabitants of the region the Ngaro aboriginals.

Ecology
During the safari you will have the opportunity to observe and learn about the exceptional biodiversity of life that thrives both below and above the water.

What is provided:

What to bring:
Bring only a small soft bag with:

T-shirt, a hat & swimwear
Your favourite CDs
A beach towel
Insect repellent
Sunscreen (15+)
Deck shoes (no black soles)
Reef sandals
A warm pullover for the evenings (seasonal)
You will also need to bring soft drinks and alcoholic beverages.
 
Extra Charges:
Entry and Administration Fees: Please note there is a fee levied on all passengers to cover park entry fees and administration costs. Fees are charged by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and Queensland Parks and Wildlife for entry into the marine and national parks and the overall fee includes these costs and our administration costs and are subject to change and are payable at check in. At $39 is recommended by the Whitsunday Charter Boat Industry Association for a 3 day 2 night cruise to cover costs and includes EMC of $4.50 per day, Commercial Activity Permit Fee of $1.35 per day, Administration Fees of $3.77 per day plus gst. There is a 2.5% surcharge for credit card purchases. Wet suits are availible for hire.

All departures and itineraries are subject to weather and may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of Oz Adventure Sailing. It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions of our clients which are beyond our control. Client cancellations made less than 21 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price of the sailing holiday. We recommend that you have travel insurance. All Cancellations forfeit all deposits. If full payment has been made then the deposit amount will be 50% of payments received. Client cancellations made less than 21 days prior to departure will result in complete forfeiture of the full price of the sailing holiday. We recommend that you have travel insurance. Please be aware operators pass on credit card merchant fees. There is a 2.5% surcharge for credit card purchases. We reserve the right to substitute vessels without notice at any time for any reason.
 
Bookings and Availability:

If you are booking more than one month in advance, it is most likely that there will be availability. We don't process payment* until the booking is confirmed; therefore it is safe to make a booking for sailings more than a month in advance without checking availability. In the unlikely event that the vessel is full or has been stood down we will contact you with alternatives.

 
To make a booking or check availability, please enter the number of people** you wish to book each of the different cabins, and click the appropriate button. Any applicable charges for additional activities are paid for on board.

Deposit amounts will not be processed until a booking has been confirmed with the tour operator. The tour administration will usually process the balance a day or two later. Deposit amounts are non-refundable after a booking has been confirmed and the balance is non-refundable within the period stated in the Terms and conditions above. We recommend booking 30 days in advance to ensure availability of your accommodation or tour of choice. All departures and itineraries are subject to weather and may be changed or cancelled at the discretion of the tour operator although this is uncommon. Operators reserve the right to cancel tours should the need arise. Should a tour operator cancel a tour for any reason, an alternative tour is usually offered of a similar type. It should be noted that adventure travel involves risk. Whilst we make every effort to safeguard clients, we cannot be responsible for personal injury or loss due to actions of clients or tour operators which are beyond our control.
