We left Airlie Beach on the most beautifull day that the Whitsundays could possibly have given us. The sun sky was full of sunshine and the seas calm and deep blue.
We left about 1:00pm from Abel Point Marina and sped off out into the Whitsunday Island Group. We passed North Molle Island and crossed the Whitsunday Passage, until finally after a 2 hour cruise, arriving at Langford Reef. Here, we met our dive instructors for the day. We went ashore and those of us that had not dived before did a Introductory dive (Which was really fun and easy). There were 4 or 5 people who had already done their scuba diving courses and they went on a guided local dive. All this diving was included, for free !
After the diving, the sun was getting low, so we motored off around the top of Hook Island and spent the night in a picturesque little bay called 'Mantaray Bay'. We went snorkelling there the next day.
