Brief Description:
Day two saw us rise early for an early breakfast and then off to Mantaray Bay. Mantaray Bay is at the north end of Hook Island.

Detailed Description:
At Mantaray Bay there are many large Batfish (Sorry, couldn't get a good photo!), that are tame and come right up to the back of the boat. Craig leaned out and patted a couple as they swam past! We went for a snorkel here and afterward we had a lumpy passage down to Whitehaven Beach.

History:
Whitehave beach, at the southern end of Whitsunday Island is 98% pure silica and a daling white. We spent about and hour and a half here relaxing and stretching the legs. Afterwards Craig gave us a choice, more snorkelling or a very calm anchorage with a beach and a bush walk. We chose the latter option!

Natural History:
So off we went again, but by now, the wind was easing and we had a calm trip to Cid Harbour on the opposite side of Whitsunday Island. There we were in time to watch the sunset and enjoy the heated spa!
