| The Circuit walk is located on the Shute Harbour Road, Between Airlie Beach and Shute Harbour. The walk is aproximately 1.6km long and a very easy gradient. |
| Conway range forms the spine of a prominent peninsula on the Queensland coast between Mackay and Bowen. The range is part of the 22,500 hectare Conway National Park, whose boundary includes 35kms of coastline. Tropical lowland rainforest features in the rugged range. Deep incised valleys drop sharply to the Whitsunday Passage.
I did my walk just after heavy rain in the warm summer mnth of March and butterfly's were everywhere. Ever try to photograph a butterfly in flight ? Well that's why there's no photo's of a butterfly in flight here!
At the beginning of the Circuit walk there is a picnic area with BBQ's and sheltered tables and a toilet.
Go for a drive and check it out. It's a nice easy bush walk just 5 minutes from Airlie Beach in the Whitsundays. |
