Never heard of those reefs ? Not many people other than local remote fisherman have. We make a point of accessing reefs where there is little or no fishing activity and the fishing is HOT ! We target super sized line busting reef species and reel smoking Pelaegics all along the Whitsundays outer Great Barrier Reef.

Our mother ship meanders among sheltered anchorages around the myriad of coral reef systems. As the ship moves between anchorages, you'll experience heavy tackle trolling for reel screaming pelaegics such as massive Spanish Mackeral, Wahoo and Yellow Fin Tuna and the unbelievable power to weight fighting fish such as Marlin and Dog Tooth Tuna.

Once you arrive at a new fishing site, you'll have access to our self-drive fishing dory's to fish within a couple of miles of the mother ship. (If you're wanting to drive the dory, you'll need a powerboat license). The dory's allow you and 3 other friends the space to cast, Jig, troll and bottom bash to your hearts content targeting the species you prefer. We fish on a catch and release basis, and only keep what we need for immediate consumption.

Our crew are local fishermen and know heaps about light and medium tackle sports fishing on the Coral Sea reefs. Everynight you'll get the opportunity to join informal discussions on sport fishing techniques such as tackle selection and preparation, finding the best locations and targeting your preferred species. At the end of a trip, you'll walk away with knowledge you'll use for the rest of your fishing days to improve your catch rates.

Our guides are available to join you in your dory and help guide you right to the fish for a few hours of shoulder and back pain targeting species like Giant Trevally or help you flick some lures onto the reef for some insane action with you favourite bait caster.

During your 3 days aboard MV Coral Sea with Wild Sport Fishing, you'll have comfortable accommodation in fully air-conditioned cabins, either Double, Twin or Quad's. Our vessel is perfectly set up for up to 11 fishermen and 3 crew, with heaps of space in our saloon and even more space on the covered aft deck and covered upper deck!

Your 3 days aboard MV Coral Sea include all meals, bottled water and soft drinks. You can also purchase drinks from our licensed bar. Prices are at the low end of public bar prices. We also have a tackle shop and small general store on board for items such as toiletries, sunscreen, batteries and other small things you might have forgotten to bring with you. We keep prices as competitive as we can on board so you don't get a sour taste in your mouth when you realize you forgot your toothbrush !

MV Coral Sea also carries it's own dive compressor and dive gear. You'll have the opportunity to go scuba diving at some locations. If your already certified, you'll be able to dive under the surface supervision of our dive instructor. If you've never dived before (and pass a simple dive medical questionaire), our dive instructor can take you through the basics you need to know and you can then join an introductory dive where the dive instructor dives with you, assisting you in the water and pointing out the how the reef residents go about their daily routine. Certified dives cost $65 each and Introductory dives cost $75 each and include all equipment and briefings as required.
